If your old camcorder or VCR is broken, you can get it repaired. Alternately, it may just require a service and getting the tape heads professionally cleaned. This is much more through than simply using a ‘Head Cleaning Tape’.

It is amazing the difference it can make to the playback picture quality once the heads are properly cleaned, as they accumulate dirt and contaminates over time, which as well as damaging the VCR can also damage the video tapes.
